"In the Forests"

Last night I went to an art group where we shared art we created with “book” as our theme.
I’d planned on making just a tiny blank book the night before, but I found a few painted papers, some bits that I had cut out from a bird and blooms magazine, and some old book pages. I shouldn’t be surprised that a little found poem book happened.
( it might be my favorite of all the found poems, but I always say that. I just love the serendipitous magical process of making them!)
In the forests
I learned the language of the birds
and all that have wings
I rested
calm
dear sky above I’m grateful
I remember my hope for tomorrow
Peace
my prayer is simple
It was a blessed relief to spread my wings and to soar
Swift wing beats in the sunshine
My path took me over the ghost in the trees
I did not tremble
Do you believe anything is possible?
It was a wonderful evening of friendship and good food. Lovely books shared. So grateful.
